Bifantis is the trademarked name for the probiotic strain Bifidobacterium infantis 35624.
Align is an excellent choice of probiotic. It has had far more studies done on it than most of the probiotic supplements on the market
Align is what I took when I had to take antibiotics and I never suffered any sort of intestinal troubles at all. Many people get diarrhea when they take antibiotics because they wipe out the good bacteria.
Bifidobacterium – of which Align is one – are extra sensitive to antibiotics so it is a great choice to supplement with.
I’ve just recently learned that there are so many probiotic strains, and that probiotic supplements may differ depending on the strains present, as mentioned in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=neHbUI2JiPw that bifantis strain sounds really promising. It’d be really helpful to know what other strains are present in align.
