  2. Hi Barbara – I’d heard about his and I’d though folk would have to get new TV’s. It’s good news that they can convert them.

  4. Hi Barbara,

Thank you for these resources. I’ve read a little about this and have in mind to do a post on how this impacts the senior population. If us “youngsters” (cough, cough) get confused on the converters, imagine if you’re 80 years of age and trying to keep your TV working when this switch occurs.

Glad Blogger Dad did his interview with you b/c it nudged me over here — finally!!!!

    Thanks for ALL you do!

  6. Barbara, thanks for sharing this information. I printed out some of it to share with my mother-in-law who is not on cable or satelite so her TV won’t work after Feb. 2009. I have been meaning to do the research for her online. You saved me some steps in doing that. Thanks.

  8. Hi Catherine – I thought that at first too. My first thought was what will we do with all of those old TVs?

Hi Linda – You’re welcome. Technology. It’s great, but the changes can keep us confused if we’re not careful.

Hi Patricia – You’re welcome. I thought I should post this as we just got our cable converter boxes. It’s confusing, isn’t it?

  10. True. I’d heard about this. I wonder what the transition will be like. Seems like it could end up as one big mess to me, especially for people who aren’t yet aware of the shift.
