The next product in line as far as a mom and pop granola available in all 50 states is one called Udi's Granola. There are 3 ingredients. Canola Oil, Honey, and Oats. other ingredients include dried cranberry, and walnuts. They are so basic, and delicious. Their products are still all handmade, and owned by a family from Denver. I love their Cranberr, and their original flavor has banana chips pistachios and raisins. Thats what i would suggest if your not into a multi billion dollar corp manufacturing what you hope is a "wholesome" granola.

Hi Lisa,

In a way, that is sad to hear, as I like to see those "mom & pop" businesses become successful.

It has been a great product. But, since I am a big ingredient reader, I will definitely check to see how organic it remains.

Thanks for informing me of the buy-out...apparently that took place in November '07

In 2007 Bear Naked was bought by Kellogs. Now how organic is it? I would say probably not at all. Since Kellogs is a big user of Genetically Modified ingredients in ALL of their cereals I would say that I DO NOT trust this product for anything. Also you might want to take a look at the ingredients again. Any acorbic acid, citric acid, citrus acid, lactate acid, or any added vitamins? If so these and of course any soy are all genetically modified and they make you fat and give you heart disease, acid reflux and of course eventually some wicked cancer. I wouldn't touch Bear Naked with a 10 foot pole and unless it was to shove it in an incinerator.
