This morning on the “Today” show, Natalie Morales interviewed two young men who have written a book called: Project Everlasting: Two Bachelors Discover the Secrets of Americas Greatest MarriagesSecrets To Making A Marraige Last Project Everlasting

These young men, Mathew Boggs and Jason Miller, traveled across country, interviewing couples who had been married at least 40 years. They wanted to know what made the marriages last. From their research, the book “Project Everlasting” was born.

The things that resonated in the interview were, commitment, communication and respect. Isn’t that true? If we can’t talk to one another, want to stay with each other or don’t have mutual respect, what kind of marriage do we have?

I haven’t read “Project Everlasting” yet, but it’s definitely a book I’m going to put on my “must read” list. If this book is as good as it sounds, I think it would make a great gift for a young couple, as they get ready to embark on a new marriage.

I’ll bet this book is filled with lots of great stories, and readers will gain tremendous insight into how to make their own relationships stronger.

If you’ve read it, let me know what you thought, by leaving me a comment.
