TAKE TIME
Take time to think – It is the source of all power
Take time to read – It is the foundation of all wisdom
Take time to play-It is the source of perpetual youth
Take time to be quiet-It is the opportunity to seek God
Take time to be aware-It is the opportunity to help others
Take time to love and be loved-It is God’s greatest gift
Take time to laugh-It is the music of the soul
Take time to be friendly-It is the road to happiness
Take time to dream-It is what the future is made of
Take time to pray-It is the greatest power on earth
Take time to give-It is too short a day to be selfish
Take time to work-It is the price of success

Today, take time, or rather make time for what’s really important in your life. Remember to share a smile, give a hug, hold the door open for another person, be courteous when driving, call someone you haven’t talked to for awhile, write a letter to a loved one, and tell those close to you that you love them. Life is too short to go around living it with anger or hatred.

So pleased to find this verse on your site My long-gone Dear Grandmother wrote this verse from memory into an autograph book I have since mislaid. I particularly like the sentiment ” Make time —- ” The world would certainly be a much better place if we made an effort to live by this advice Thank you
I LOVED IT!!! I felt like you were reading my mind and said everything I wanted to say Thank you so much, from the bottom of my heart. I can’t wait to share it!
I have reason to beleive The author is my grandfather. I found this poem in his belongings, he died over 30 years ago. Frank Hauber RIP
I found this poem some forty-five plus years ago and wrote it out in calligraphy and framed it as a gift, which still hangs in my parents home (ages 82 AND 83) today. It’s my mother’s and one of my favorite poems. I found it in a book when I was in my early teens.
Any one know this author..?
